Throw rubble and soil straight in instead of hauling bags about. We usually bring it today or tomorrow.

We give you the price on the first call: it depends on what you throw away, how many days the skip stays and whether you need loaders.

Skip or van?

Skip hire makes sense when the waste is still piling up: a renovation that runs for a week, or digging in the yard. If everything is already bagged by the door, a van costs less and leaves straight away.

8 m³ skip

Rubble, soil, stone, bags from the renovation. It stands at your place for 48 hours and takes up to 10 tonnes, so heavy loads are no trouble.

1.5-tonne van

An old sofa, a dead fridge, bags from the cellar. The back holds 14 m³, more than the skip, and half an hour of loading is included.

from 1000 lei a trip

For a heavier load there is also the 2-tonne van, from 1500 lei a trip.

And if you are digging out the ground for a whole house, the 22 m³ tipper lorry carries up to 20 tonnes: 3500 lei a trip with soil and stone.

In short: heavy waste that builds up over time goes in the skip. Light, bulky things already by the door go in the van.

What people hire a skip for

  • Old cracked tiles on the wall of a room

    Flat renovation

You are stripping the bathroom tiles, knocking off plaster, taking down a wall. Rubble comes out a little every day, and the skip by the block takes all of it, with no bags left on the landing for a week.

  • Gravel being shovelled into buckets on a building site

    Yard and garden

Levelling the yard before paving, digging a trench for a pipe or clearing stones from the vegetable patch. Soil and stone with nothing else mixed in have their own, lower price.

  • Old white-brick house with its doors taken off and leaned by the entrance

    Clearing an old house

You have bought an old house or are emptying your parents' one: broken glass, plastic, bags of junk, bricks from a dismantled stove. Furniture and appliances are better off in the van.

How to load a skip so more fits in

Drawing of a well-loaded skip: bricks and concrete at the bottom, old doors laid flat, bags on top, nothing above the rim 1 2 3
  1. Heavy at the bottom

Bricks, concrete and soil go in first, spread over the whole floor. Bags and light bits then fill the gaps on top.

  2. Lay it flat

Flatten the boxes; lay old doors and window frames down. Stood upright, they leave air underneath that you are paying for.

  3. Flat and level with the rim

A skip loaded flat, level with its sides, travels best. Anything sticking up above the rim is better moved down into the gaps below.

Soil and rubble, kept apart

If you have both soil and rubble, keep them apart: a few bags of rubble on top of soil put the whole skip at the mixed-waste price. Soil weighs a lot too, and a skip takes 10 tonnes at most, so tell us on the phone how much of each you have and we will work out the cheaper way.

How it goes

  1. Call and describe the spot

Measure the spot before you call: the skip needs 3.5 by 1.7 metres, and the lorry has to get right up to it.

  2. The skip arrives

Usually on the day you call or the day after, as agreed on the phone. The lorry sets it down and leaves.

  3. 48 hours are yours

In the evening after work or in the morning before the builders arrive: load it whenever it suits you. Need more than two days? Say so at the start and we add them.

  4. Then we collect it

At the end of the time you booked, the lorry takes the skip on the agreed day and drives it straight to a licensed landfill. All that is left by your gate is the empty spot.

Questions about hiring a skip

How much does a skip cost in Chișinău?

2500 lei for soil and stone, 3500 for rubble and mixed waste. The price covers bringing the 8 m³ skip, 48 hours with you, collection and unloading. Each further 24 hours costs 300 lei.

Which is cheaper, a skip or a van?

The van, if the waste is already gathered: a trip starts at 1000 lei, with half an hour of loading included. A skip costs more, but gives you 48 hours to load with nobody waiting at the gate. For soil and heavy rubble the skip is the better fit, as it takes up to 10 tonnes.

Who carries the rubble down to the skip?

You, the builders on the job or our loaders, at 300 lei an hour per person. Tell us the floor and roughly how much rubble there is, and we will say how many loaders you need.

Can I keep the skip for a week?

Yes. The first 48 hours are in the price, and each further 24 hours costs 300 lei. A full week with a rubble skip comes to 3500 plus 1500, so 5000 lei.

Can I order a skip on a Saturday?

Yes, on Saturdays we work from 8:00 to 13:00, and on Sundays we are closed. Call within those hours and we agree the delivery day on the same call.

Got rubble or soil to shift? We settle the price and the day on the phone.

Not sure whether you need a skip or a van? Ask, and we will tell you which works out cheaper for your waste.
